Objectives of the Federation
 

Promoting and protecting the interests of the athletes involved in tennis (from now on called "sport") and those of the Federation, taking measures and all the actions related to the sport and the Federation which will occasionally be considered necessary and meaningful and especially but without any prejudice, advocating the general goals which have already been mentioned:


1. Using the income of the Federation to achieve its goals and aspirations in such a way as to be considered that this use is done to the best interest of this sport. No income or any other asset of the Federation should be paid off or distributed to its members but it would be available to promote the Federation?s goals. In case the Federation is dissolved, its property should be distributed to achieve similar goals like those of the Federation or any other charity purpose.


2. Adopting, amending, changing, maintaining and implementing the rules and regulations to monitor and run the sport in the Republic of Cyprus


3. Respecting the following rules and regulations: Tennis rules and the regulations of the International and the European Tennis Federation, which will occasionally be in force.


4. Promoting International and National Championships and competitions for adults and adolescents and regulating, arranging and guiding all the competitions in relation to this sport.


5. Approving Full or Associate Members of the Federation organising formal championships and competitions in the Republic of Cyprus and approving and adjusting the dates and all the relevant arrangements.


6. Promoting the tennis teaching and encouraging the recognised trainers.


7. Clarifying all the uncertain or disputed points in relation to the sport and its rules and regulations.
